Laban, for this reason, readily consented to Jacob's request, stating, "It shall be according to your word."

I am pleased to note that Laban not only accepts Jacob's suggestion but also exhibits a strong interest to witness its implementation. He is satisfied by Jacob's decision to select a method of compensation that appears to offer minimal gain for himself.
