One Church Father comments on this verse

Ireneus (Orda)

Humanity has mastered the skill of uncovering metals and precious gems hidden within the earth’s depths, realms that even the sharp vision of an eagle and the brave might of a lion cannot penetrate. Yet, while he may unearth treasures from the mountains and the deep waters, he cannot discover wisdom, which surpasses all riches. This wisdom eludes everyone and everything; it belongs solely to God, and mankind can acquire it through reverence and renunciation of evil. Throughout the writings of the sacred authors, the righteous are frequently described as wise, whereas the wicked are portrayed as foolish. The pinnacle of wisdom in a man should reside in living in harmony with one's divine purpose, steadfastly upholding one's virtues. Nothing elevates a person's character or aligns with their true purpose more than a life devoted to God. When one yields to evil and indulges in carnal desires, he becomes irrational, losing both understanding and will.
