What causes him the greatest sorrow is to bear scorn from these individuals, which ultimately harms them. He observes that "thieves," "evildoers," "bandits," and "criminals" use us as subjects of their mockery and discourse (cf. Job 30:5).

In that moment, he had become the object of ridicule among the most despicable individuals, and his faith in the Lord transformed him; the outcome he anticipated was completely reversed.
