Ireneus (Orda)
After explaining the reasons that had previously prevented him from speaking and his intentions for the discussion, while assuring Job that he would communicate sincerely and without fear, Elius turns to Job, urging him to listen carefully and point out any errors he may find. He is keenly aware of humanity's limitations. Based on Job's own statements, Elius acknowledges that Job perceives himself as unjustly suffering at the hands of God. He believes Job is mistaken in his view of God, who governs the affairs of the world without needing to justify His actions to anyone. God addresses the human tendency to stray by sending warnings through visions or afflictions, and He shows compassion, offering restoration and blessings when one repents. Elius challenges Job to respond, but when he receives no answer, he encourages Job’s attention once more.
