The turbulent, salty waves of the infinite waters may represent the transgressions in which the wicked find themselves doomed during their earthly existence, as well as the depths of their impending ruin, for at the Last Judgment they will be cast into Gehenna alongside the adversary. It is important to note that when the Tabernacle was established on Mount Sinai, the Red Sea lay to the west, and when it was transported to Shiloh and erected there by Joshua, the Mediterranean Sea stretched in that same direction towards it. In the deeper meaning of Scripture, we may comprehend that the faithful who serve the Lord in this life create a dwelling for Him within their hearts and disregard the vain self-adoration of the arrogant among the unrighteous, perceiving its imminent end.

The just will reside in their new dwelling close to the Lord, enabling them to witness the eternal judgment of the unrighteous without it affecting their blessed state. Consequently, our forebears also express their gratitude to the Lord, for they not only experience the gifts granted by Him, but also observe the malevolence from which He has rescued them.
