The tumultuous waves of the endless sea may represent the transgressions that lead the unrighteous to perish amidst the wickedness of their mortal existence, as well as the abyss awaiting their eternal downfall. At the Final Judgment, they will be cast into the eternal fire alongside the adversary. It is essential to note that when the Tabernacle was established on Mount Sinai, the Red Sea lay to its west, and when it was transported to Shiloh and erected there by Joshua, the Mediterranean Sea similarly extended in the same direction.

In a deeper theological understanding of Scripture, we can perceive that the faithful who honor the Lord in this life construct a sacred dwelling for Him within their hearts, rejecting the arrogant self-congratulation of the proud, recognizing its inevitable end. The righteous will reside in their eternal dwelling close to the Lord and will witness the everlasting judgment of the wicked without any detriment to their own blessed state. Thus, our forebears also express their gratitude to the Lord, for they not only experience the blessings conferred upon them but also recognize the evils from which He has redeemed them.
