Theodoret of Cyrus

5th centuryChurch Father

The words of Jesus prior to His crucifixion are both wondrous and profound. He proclaimed, "I will go the way of all the earth." Yet, He also reveals the steadfastness of Divine prophecy. "And ye shall know in your heart and in your soul, that not one word has fallen away from all the good words which the Lord your God speaketh unto you." Everything He has conveyed to us has been entrusted to us, and none of it shall vary. You have witnessed the realization of God's promises through the righteous deeds you have performed. God has accomplished all that He has promised.
