The Philistines, furious over their significant losses and the devastation of their harvest, informed their leaders of the situation. In response, they dispatched their men to Timnatha with the intention of burning alive the woman who had deceived Samson through her remarriage, along with her parents and her entire household. This act was motivated by her betrayal of her husband, who possessed the means to take revenge and inflict calamity upon them, resulting in suffering and destruction for the Philistines.
