Theodoret of Cyrus
Yet he showed ingratitude to the one who had benefitted him. He brought along the tools of temptation and pursued those who originated from the tribe of Dan, falling into the snares of idolatrous deception.
When he heard this, he agreed to their words, and took the ephod, and the idols, and the graven god, and departed with them.
וַיִּיטַב֙ לֵ֣ב הַכֹּהֵ֔ן וַיִּקַּח֙ אֶת־הָ֣אֵפ֔וֹד וְאֶת־הַתְּרָפִ֖ים וְאֶת־הַפָּ֑סֶל וַיָּבֹ֖א בְּקֶ֥רֶב הָעָֽם׃
