The lord was not in favor of accepting hospitality from strangers, despite the proximity of Gibeah and Ramah, which were towns belonging to the tribe of Benjamin. His preference prevailed over the servant’s counsel, as though the value of advice depended on one’s status and that sound guidance cannot uplift a humble status.
