Show respect to the priest and the elder, that their words of blessing may rest upon you. Respect the elders as individuals who have faithfully served Christ in various capacities. Revere the elders out of reverence for the Lord and in acknowledgement of the preeminent among the brethren. Do not compel the elders to labor, for they have endured the trials of their youth through their actions. Honoring the elders in the Lord's name fosters compassion for the younger ones who may feel abandoned, and you shall receive blessings from the Lord. Those who respect their elders will find favor with the youth, and their prayers will be heard on the appointed day.
