It is important to note that for the bishop, a bull was sacrificed, as well as a bull for all the people, while a goat was designated for the prince and others were to offer a goat. This is fitting as the prince should present a male offering, while the chief is expected to provide a female offering, reflecting the divine order established with Adam and Eve. Additionally, it is significant to mention that it was goats, not lambs, that were chosen for sin offerings. The Lord Christ clarified this point in the Gospel by comparing the righteous to lambs and the sinful to goats. Furthermore, He instructed that when a prince transgressed a law, he should not offer a bull but rather a yearling goat, revealing his separation from the solemnity of the high priestly role to which the carnal authorities are assigned.
