Similarly, when you encounter disbelief and impurity among the faithful, discard them immediately so that, once the hearts of the believers, which serve as the Lord's repositories filled with the treasures of virtue, have been cleansed, the vessels belonging to the Lord can be restored. Those hearts, which were once polluted by sin and error, must be redeemed to become vessels of the Lord through correction. There should be the offerings of good deeds and the sweet aroma of sincere prayer where the previous marketplace of thieves had stood (cf. Jer. 7:11). The vessels of Tobiah the Ammonite must also be removed from the temple storehouse, allowing the vessels of God, along with offerings and incense, to return to their rightful place.

This restoration is carried out by those who have excommunicated and condemned heretics and false believers, expelling them from the Church, and replacing them with faithful servants of Christ who can minister to Him through acts of faith and prayer. This fervor exhibited by Nehemiah mirrors that of the Lord and Savior, who, upon discovering those trading in the temple, fashioned a whip of cords and drove them out (see Matt. 21:12; John 2:14-15). In these actions, as well as others, Nehemiah stands as a clear representation of the true Comforter and Purifier.
