Similarly, when you encounter disbelief and impurity among the faithful, remove them immediately so that the hearts of the believers, which are the Lord's treasure troves brimming with virtuous riches, may be purified. Those hearts, once corrupted by sin and error, must be restored as vessels of the Lord through correction, allowing for the offering of good deeds and the fragrant incense of sincere prayer to take the place of the previous den of thieves (cf. Jer. 7:11). Just as the vessels of Tobiah the Ammonite were cast out from the temple storehouse, so too are the instruments of God reinstated alongside the offerings and incense.

This transformation is carried out by those who have excommunicated and condemned heretics and false believers, replacing them with devoted servants of Christ who can serve Him through acts of faith and prayer. The fervor of Nehemiah mirrors that of the Lord Savior, who, upon discovering merchants in the temple, fashioned a whip and expelled them (See Matt. 21:12; John 2:14-15). In these actions and others, Nehemiah served as a clear reflection of the true Comforter and Purifier.
