Prayer, worship, singing of psalms, interpreting Sacred Scripture, reading the Church's texts, engaging in spiritual discussions, showing compassion to the needy, and performing other righteous deeds embody authentic joy. These actions represent genuine and pleasing celebrations to God, a fragrant offering of the sacred festivals, as He instructed, ‘In your feasts you shall make a fragrance of fragrance.’ Let us, dear brethren, strive to observe this day of illumination along with other holy festivals, encouraging ourselves through psalms, hymns, and spiritual melodies, singing and making melody in our hearts to the Lord (Eph. 5:19). Through these temporal celebrations, may we transition to the ultimate, eternal celebration of our Lord Jesus Christ's Kingdom, to whom be glory and sovereignty forever and ever. Amen.
