Korah, Dathan, and Abiron, who defied Moses and Aaron the priest by seeking to claim the sacrificial authority for themselves, faced immediate divine retribution for their insurrection. The earth opened and engulfed them alive, and God's anger did not spare the instigators. A fiery judgment from the Lord quickly consumed the two hundred and fifty individuals who allied with them, marking them as participants in the same transgression. This serves as a potent reminder that every effort made by the wicked, driven by their own desires to undermine Divine law, stands in opposition to God.

They met a similar fate, as the division among them stemmed from a singular root cause: those who relied on earthly wisdom were swallowed by the earth, signaling that such punishment serves as a testimony to their wrongdoings.
