Balaam's dialogue with the donkey highlights the tumultuous emotions and fervent desires within him. His frustration over the donkey's perceived obstinacy and his urgent wish to reach the king of Moab consumed Balaam to the point where he was not taken aback by the extraordinary phenomenon of a speaking animal; instead, he engaged in a discussion with it as if it were a person.
