Additionally, it is important to remember that for the offering of a bull, three tithes of wheat flour and half a guin—equivalent to six xestos of oil and wine—were required. In the case of a ram, two tithes of flour and a third of a guin for the libations were necessary. Lastly, the sacrifice for each lamb included one tithe of flour, and the libation of oil and wine was one-fourth of a hin. For according to the efforts of each individual and the strength of their virtue, it is God, the just Judge, who will determine the extent of life in glory and joy, as well as the abundance bestowed upon them. This also includes the measure of spiritual joy; for we have often remarked that wheat flour symbolizes sustenance, oil represents abundance, and wine signifies spiritual rejoicing. Indeed, this is very true.
