The enumeration occurs according to names and families, as well as ancestral households; for those whom God chooses to exalt, He graces with His vigilant care, both individually and collectively across generations. This care is emphasized by the Saviour Himself, as He tells the holy Apostles, ‘Are not two small birds sold for an assarius? And not one of them shall fall to the ground without the will of your Father; but even the hairs of your head are all numbered’ (Matthew 10:29-30).
