Those who disregard these admonitions and protect the one deserving of condemnation, akin to Saul sparing Agag (1 Sam. 15:9) and Eli, whose sons were ignorant of the Lord (1 Sam. 2:25-34), tarnish both their own honor and the Church of God in their community. Consequently, they stand condemned before God and righteous individuals, for they become a stumbling block to many recent converts and the unlearned, as well as to young men and women.
