Justice is a commendable attribute for those in positions of authority, while injustice tarnishes their standing. The Scriptures provide an illustration: after Solomon's passing, the Israelites petitioned his son Rehoboam to ease their burdens and soften the strictness of his father’s governance. Instead of heeding the counsel of the wise elders, he chose to follow the suggestions of the young and declared that he would intensify his father's demands and impose even harsher penalties.
