How should we interpret the phrase, "The king of men hearkened not, for there was a turning from God, that the Lord would restore His word, which was spoken by the hand of Ahijah the Silonite"? Those who are recipients of Divine Providence, esteemed in the eyes of God, discern the appropriate course of action. In contrast, those lacking this grace find themselves led astray, unaware of their destination. This passage indeed illustrates that it was the Lord God's decision to split the kingdom into two factions due to the wickedness of the father.
