The Lord's appeals to Manasseh for repentance and amendment through the voices of His holy prophets were futile, as were the ominous prophetic declarations forewarning of calamity and ruin. Manasseh ignored the call of the prophets, harassed the messengers of repentance, and, almost as an affront to God's name, erected pagan idols within the temple dedicated to the Lord. The thirtieth day. Exhortation 1. St. apostles Silas and Silouanus.
