In Psalm 17:44, there exists a prophetic message concerning the Savior, Christ, as it states, "He delivered Me from the people; He set Me as a light for the Gentiles." Those who are not guided by them have experienced My work, and in the hearing of the ear, they have listened to Me (see 2 Sam. 22:44, 45 and Ps. 17:45). It was not King David who served as the light for the nations but rather the Lord, the Son of David, who descended from him according to the flesh. Yet, if David is regarded as a light for the Gentiles, it is because his beautiful psalms illuminate those who have faith in the Lord Christ. Throughout the world, the spiritual hymns of David continue to shed light on the souls of the faithful in all the churches.

As previously demonstrated, the anticipated end of the old covenant and physical circumcision was announced, paving the way for the realization of the new covenant and spiritual circumcision in the age to come. David states, “The people whom I have not known serve me; the foreigners submit to me; at the mere rumor of me they obey me.” These revelations have been proclaimed by the prophets. Yet, who are these individuals that did not know the Lord, if not we ourselves who were once unaware of Him? And who are those that, having heard of Him, began to obey, if not we who have turned from idols to serve the living God?
