After King David achieved success in his numerous endeavors, he envisioned constructing a dwelling for the Lord, specifically, the magnificent temple that was later erected by his son, King Solomon.
He said to Nathan the prophet: Dost thou see that I dwell in a house of cedar, and the ark of God is lodged within skins?
