Jerome of Stridon

4th centuryChurch Father

I have arrived to share with you the destiny of your people in the final days. What Daniel sought in prayer is a privilege for him to understand, specifically regarding the fate of the people of Israel, not in the imminent times, but in the concluding days, which refers to the end of the age.

Theodoret of Cyrus

5th centuryChurch Father

As I approached you, the one who appeared spoke to let you know that he would not be present with your people for an extended period. Michael remained to engage in dialogue with the ruler of the realm of Persia; and it was not merely a dialogue with the ruler of Persia, but rather with the ruler of the realm of Persia, signifying his authority over the king of Persia himself.
