Jerome of Stridon

4th centuryChurch Father

Please share the dream so that I may understand its true interpretation. The Chaldeans replied to the king, stating, “No one on earth can satisfy your request, O king. Both magicians and diviners, along with the vast knowledge of secular writings, acknowledge that predicting the future is not within human capability but is the work of God. This demonstrates that the prophets who foretold events spoke through the Holy Spirit.”

Theodoret of Cyrus

5th centuryChurch Father

It was stated that no individual on the planet can declare the decree of the ruler, for every notable sovereign and noble does not challenge the pronouncements of the charlatan, the sage, and the sorcerer.
