The Samaritan text, as noted by the English Common Bible, refers here to the altar of incense that was located centrally, positioned at the entrance before the veil (Ex. 30:1-10). This reference essentially restates the first ten verses of chapter thirty, where it is discussed. However, this detail does not appear in other lists, even though it seems appropriate for the altar of incense to be included in this context. The introduction of the ark of revelation, along with the distinct mention of the cover adorned with cherubim (the mercy seat), emphasizes the significance of this item, which held its own unique meaning apart from the ark.
