In the introduction, we noted that the lampstand was positioned to the left of the person entering the tabernacle, while the table of offerings was on the right. However, in sacred terminology, the side of the lampstand (to the south) is referred to as the right side, while the side of the table of offerings (to the north) is termed the left side.
