The enclosure of the tabernacle featured a curtain that measured 100 cubits in length, equivalent to 150 feet, with a design supported by only 20 pillars. This arrangement left a gap of five cubits, or 7.5 feet, between each pillar, which were likely connected by ties, potentially staves. The white linen veil was draped over these pillars, utilizing silver staves for support and silver hooks for attachment. Additionally, the tops of the pillars were adorned with silver. At the entrance of the enclosure, there were merely three posts on either side, from which the extended portion of the linen veil was suspended. The space created between these posts, measuring twenty cubits across, served as the gateway.
