Freed from slavery, the assembly of one tribe transforms into a mighty nation, conditioned upon their allegiance to Jehovah as their Sovereign. They must continually recall their covenant with the Almighty, maintaining their purity and holiness to fulfill the divine purpose for Israel—to be ‘a kingdom of priests, a holy nation’ (Exod. 19:6).
