Basil the Great
It is prohibited for anyone to engage in acts solely for personal pleasure, meaning one should not claim credit for oneself, but rather direct all glory to God, the source of all goodness. Isaiah 1:3
You shall not make such a composition for your own uses, because it is holy to the Lord.
וְהַקְּטֹ֙רֶת֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תַּעֲשֶׂ֔ה בְּמַ֨תְכֻּנְתָּ֔הּ לֹ֥א תַעֲשׂ֖וּ לָכֶ֑ם קֹ֛דֶשׁ תִּהְיֶ֥ה לְךָ֖ לַיהוָֽה׃
