O. Gerlach aptly observes that the pagan Pharaoh, perceiving Moses as merely a sorcerer akin to the wise men of Egypt but with greater wisdom and might, fails to grasp the majesty of God. As a result, he assumes that Moses has exhausted his capabilities and likely cannot perform any further wonders. Therefore, Pharaoh decides to persist in his confrontation with him.
