Moses is commendable for his ability to redirect divine punishment even towards his adversaries, exhibiting true humility and compassion, as noted in Numbers 12:3. He recognized that Pharaoh would not keep his word, yet he deemed it valuable to intercede on behalf of the people. When wronged, he chose to extend forgiveness and blessings instead.
