You have placed a burden upon the Chaldeans, whose flesh resembles that of donkeys, and their bosom is like that of horses. You have confronted the wrongs of your youth, which were committed in Egypt in your turmoil, where the innocence of your childhood was lost. By engaging with the Chaldeans, she did not reject the efforts of the Egyptians but worshipped the deities of both. Their profound wickedness and idol worship were compared to the bosoms of horses and donkeys; for idolatry is also termed fornication. Those who sought unity with God, devoted themselves to Him, and subsequently turned away to embrace communion with demons, are justly labeled as adulterers.
