The enormity of God's love is beyond description! He administers discipline with a balanced measure, and He also restores those who suffer. His declaration is this: I kill, and I bring to life; I wound, and I heal (Deuteronomy 32:39). Therefore, He warns the Egyptians of captivity, scattering, and devastation; however, He confines this devastation to a limited duration. He asserts that for forty years, Egypt will be unapproachable, but it will not be the entirety, just from Magdol and Sina to the borders of Ethiopia; and shortly thereafter, He assures a return. For He states:
