And I will increase your numbers, both of people and livestock, and they shall thrive and flourish. I will restore you as in times past, and I will be good to you as I was during the summer before. They will recognize that I am the Lord. It is not the mountains that will comprehend this, but those who reside upon them. This took place following the return from Babylon, and there are signs of it; for the cities of Palestine, teeming with residents, are being rebuilt and are renowned for their beauty. Yet the one city that still lies in ruins is the one where the Jews, in their violent rebellion against their Lord and Savior, committed this daring act—the act of the cross—which secured salvation for all mankind but brought destruction upon themselves.

The Lord promised that all of Israel would return, and He kept His promise; for He opened the way for all to return to Cyprus, yet those burdened by habitual disobedience defied the call and chose their own land over other territories.
