When they call out to Me loudly, I will not listen to them, as noted in the LXX. For all that they have done, He declares, I will demonstrate My wrath, and My gaze will not pity; I will show no mercy. In response to this, ancient heretics slander the Creator as harsh and severe, overlooking the fact that the Apostle Paul, whom they assert to be an emissary of the good God, writes to the Corinthians: If I come again, I will not spare (2 Cor. 13:2). This is to administer discipline to those who sin and to guide the wayward toward salvation. For those who do not comprehend what is truly beneficial for them—often praying for what is contrary—it's best that the Lord does not heed their requests.

It is, therefore, in the Lord's Prayer that we express, ‘Thy will be done’ (Matthew 6:10), not our flawed desires, but Thy perfect will, which comprehends all that is to come. Sometimes, it is a true blessing that we are not currently granted forgiveness. Thus, the Lord will reserve His judgment for those of the house of Judah who have turned away from the faith of the church. Even if they cry out fervently, as the Lord remarked, ‘the cry against them has reached Me’ (Gen. 18), He will remain unresponsive, allowing them to realize the gravity of their actions through the consequences they face.
