yet their desire for retribution was not quenched; they ravaged their flocks, their livestock, and their offspring, then laid waste to the city and its inhabitants before returning. Can you perceive, dear ones, the grave evil stemming from the folly of a single young man? Behold the ruin that has befallen all the residents of the city. With this understanding, let us guide our children’s impulses and steer the youth with both fear and encouragement. We must safeguard their purity and ensure that everything is put in place for the young to evade sinful longings. To this end, the Lord, aware of humanity's frailties, ordained marriage to protect us from unlawful unions.

We must not allow young men to go unattended; instead, recognizing the passion that stirs within them, we should arrange for their marriages in accordance with God's commandments, before they succumb to immoral practices. Let their sense of purity be safeguarded, that they may not suffer the consequences of depravity, equipped with enough solace to govern their desires and evade judgment.
