There are three forms of sexual immorality. The first involves sexual relations between individuals of the same gender. The second occurs without engaging with a woman, for which Onan, the son of Judah, faced the wrath of the Lord, a sin referred to as uncleanness in the Scriptures. In this context, the Apostle stated: But to the unmarried and the widows, it is good for them to remain as I am. Yet if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion (1 Cor. 7:8-9). The third form is one that takes place in the mind and heart; concerning this, the Lord declared: Anyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery in his heart (Matt. 5:28). These three types were identified by the blessed Apostle in the following exhortation: put to death therefore your earthly members: fornication, uncleanness, lust, and so forth (Col. 3:5).
