Following Manoah's prayer, the angel reappears and reiterates the guidance previously given to Manoah's wife, adding that, in accordance with the Nazarite vow (Numbers 6:3), she must refrain from consuming anything made from grapes. It is essential for the mother to adhere to this command to prepare herself for nurturing the future Nazarite. While the angel did not provide specific directives to Manoah, it was clear that he was to support his wife in carrying out her responsibilities. After hearing the angel's message, Manoah, as shown in the subsequent verses (14-16), which are not included in the parimia, asked for permission to offer a meal to the angel, much like Gideon had previously done (Judges 18). Manoah approached the angel with this proposal out of respect, recognizing him as a prophet. However, the angel requested a burnt offering—an act of sacrifice to God.
