Worship is rightly due to God alone, a truth recognized even by the angels. Despite their superior glory, they remain creations who refuse to accept worship, instead directing their reverence to the Lord. When Manoah, the father of Samson, sought to present a sacrifice to an angel, the angel responded, insisting, “You shall not offer it to me, but to God” (cf. Judges 13:16). The angels themselves praise the Lord, as it is written, “And let all the angels of God worship Him” (Heb. 1:6; Ps. 96:7).
