There exists no law. Prior to the onslaught of foes, the law was boldly disregarded; however, following the city's conquest and the destruction of the temple, they found themselves unable to conduct sacred worship as prescribed, despite their desires. Her prophets no longer received revelations from the Lord, referring to the false prophets who proclaimed misleading messages to Jerusalem. This imagery portrays both the elders lamenting and dressed in mourning garb, alongside the prophet himself voicing his anguish.
