Wisdom is depicted as proclaiming her message during the exodus, as stated in Proverbs 1:20. What type of exodus is Solomon referring to in this passage? Clearly, it signifies the departure of teachings from the mouths of the faithful leaders within the Church.

O my brethren, let us open the doors of our souls to the wisdom of God, which is incarnate in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Vissarion (Nechaev)

Up to this point, Solomon, embodying the wisdom of God, has spoken from his own perspective; now, he introduces wisdom itself as the central speaker, presenting it in the form of a counselor and articulating her teachings and warnings. Based on the nature of these teachings and warnings, it is evident that the wisdom personified by Solomon is divine rather than human, as only divine wisdom can communicate with such authority and assertiveness, threatening and reprimanding those who resist it. This will become clearer in the subsequent verses included in the following section; at this moment, we only witness the initiation of the discourse concerning God's wisdom. Wisdom expresses itself in the exodus and confidently proclaims on the hills.

It manifests itself in nature through its intricate design, in the human conscience, in the revealed law, and in the fate of humanity. The evidence of God's wisdom is apparent all around, inspiring praise from those who fervently seek its glory; they laud it not only within the intimate setting of their homes but also in public spaces, in the streets and squares, where she boldly raises her redemptive voice—teaching, warning, correcting, encouraging, and admonishing. Thus, while there are many deceivers throughout the world, Wisdom provides countless warnings against their schemes, speaking out consistently. Beginning with the verses from the book of Proverbs mentioned earlier, the reading of many additional selections from this book is designated for the days of Great Lent, as they align with the penitential spirit of this season, rich in denunciations of sin, calls for repentance, and guidance on the conduct expected of a true worshiper of God in various circumstances and relationships.
