Those who ignore these warnings and protect the one deserving of punishment, much like Saul in his treatment of Agag and Eli with his sons who did not know the Lord, have tarnished their own integrity as well as the sanctity of the Church in their community. As a result, such individuals stand guilty before God and the righteous, for they become a stumbling block to many who are newly converted and to those who are still learning, as well as to young men and women. Misery is poised to overtake him, and he bears the weight of a millstone around his neck, as stated in Matthew 18:6-7, facing the depths for his wrongdoings.

Because of his reckless demeanor as their leader, those under his influence will falter in their faith, and, succumbing to the same affliction, will undoubtedly meet their end alongside him, like the people led astray by Jeroboam and the followers of Korah with their leader.
