Along with the two young men, Abraham journeyed with his offering, and on the third day, he arrived at the place designated for the sacrifice. This number holds redemptive significance and is appropriate for those who offer sacrifices. Later, Moses would tell Pharaoh, king of Egypt, "We will go three days' journey, and sacrifice to the Lord our God, as He has said to us" (Ex. 8:27). Indeed, on the third day, the sacrifice of the Trinity is accomplished.
