Aquila expresses it more simply: These individuals have elevated their idols within their hearts and placed the snare of their sinfulness before them; in other words, they are engaging in the evil they have devised, boldly disregarding the judgment that awaits the unrighteous. They have approached you with the intent to challenge you, seeking the privilege of receiving a response.
