It was not the sword itself that brought about the sorcery, but rather the actions of those who wielded it. God deemed the sorcery and the visions false, as they were contrary to the truth. Although the truth then revealed the devil, the divine Prophets had previously warned of God's judgment, which those acting wickedly misattributed to themselves. Deceived by malevolent spirits, Nebuchadnezzar received reports from magicians that drew upon the Prophets’ words, while false prophets among the Jews offered misleading assurances of peace and escape from adversaries.

Consequently, for their disobedience and rebellion against God, they found themselves stripped of divine protection and ultimately delivered into the hands of their foes, validating the true predictions that arose from this dire situation.
