Initially, the bones connect to one another through veins, and subsequently, they are enveloped in flesh. To enhance their appearance, they are then cloaked in skin, concealing the bare flesh's imperfections. Following this, they are infused with the spirit that brings them to life, and in that state of being alive, they come to the realization that He is the Lord.

The Lord employs the Prophet as His servant and means for the resurrection revealed in the vision. Through his words, he instructs these lifeless and, more appropriately, deceased bones to generate flesh, sinews, and skin, and to be infused with the breath of life. This event serves as a symbol not only of the Jews' restoration from exile but also of the ultimate resurrection of all believers. The holy Apostle states, ‘He shall sound the trumpet, and the dead shall rise incorruptible (1 Cor. 15:52).

Reflect on the prophecy of Ezekiel regarding the valley filled with human bones. Recall how, in accordance with his proclamation, bone connected to bone, subsequently enveloped by sinews, flesh, and skin, though the breath was still absent from them. The Prophet was instructed to "Speak of the Spirit," and upon his utterance, "all things came to life." This valley of bones serves as a representation of humanity in its fallen state, estranged from God, devoid of life and the Spirit, as articulated by the Apostle.
