Recognizing that the repetitive nature of sorrowful warnings can soften even the hardest of hearts, he once more predicts tribulation in a different manner. For it is declared: “And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, ‘And thou son of man, This saith the Lord God: The end of the land of Israel is come; the end is come upon the four corners of the earth.’” The declaration of the end is not merely a cosmic statement but specifically addresses the boundaries of the land of Israel; hence, the end has arrived for those who dwell in this land. Do not presume to evade the impending disasters without turning to repentance, for devastation will visit you all. I will unleash My wrath upon you and will judge you based on your actions.

To echo blessed Paul: “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:31), for He will repay everyone according to their works (Romans 2:6). This is reiterated by God: “And I will judge you according to your ways. And I will bring upon you all your abominations”; in other words, you will reap what you have sown and receive the recompense that matches your deeds.
